Yangon ( formerly Rangoon ) is the largest city in Myanmar ( formerly Burma ) and its former capital. The city is located at the convergence of the Yangon and Bago Rivers. The military junta has officially named Naypyidaw as the new capital. Yangon has the largest number of colonial buildings in Southeast Asia.
