Harbour at Picton Picton is near the head of Queen Charlotte Sound on the NE tip of the South Island. It is named after Sir Thomas Picton - a military associate of the Duke of Wellington.
Inter-island ferries to / from Wellington arrive / depart from Picton via the Marlborough Sounds. |
